Fletcher H. Hirtle

WEYMOUTH - Fletcher H. Hirtle, 83, of 135 Thompson Road, North Weymouth, died yesterday after a long illness at the Devlin Nursing Home, Weymouth.

Born in Midville, Nova Scotia, he had lived in Weymouth for five years. Previously he had lived in North Quincy for 40 years.

He was a retired employee of the Tubular Rivet and Stud Company, Quincy.

In addition to his wife Mrs. Minnie F. Corkum Hirtle, he is survived by a son, Elbert f. Hirtle of Weymouth, three daughters, Mrs. Alice Jones of Dorchester, Mrs. Mildred Hawes of Holbrook, and Mrs. Murial McBurnie of Weymouth; two brothers, Dan Hi of Wollaston and Charles Hirtle of North Quincy; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Snyder of Wollaston, Mrs. Elvira Fletcher of Concord, and Mrs. Emily Philips of Quincy; five grandchildren and one great-grandaughter.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Deware Brothers, 576 hancock Street, Quincy. Burial will be in Knollwood Park Cemetary, Canton.
