Misener, Dinah Smeaton - 81, Park Street, Westville, died August 3, 1998 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Perth, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late Peter Smeaton and Margaret Sharpe (Nairn) Davidson. She came to Canada as a war bride over 50 years ago. She was a member of St. Paul's United church, Westville, and a member of the Dunvegan Girls' Pipe Band Mothers' Club. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting as a hobby. She resided as well at the senior citizens' apartments on Porters Lane for several years before going to Glen Haven. Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Kenneth Hayden), Greens Point; Maud (Mrs. Allan MacDonald), Mrs. Margaret MacKinnon, Westville; Jacqueline (Mrs. Roy MacCulloch), Kentville; Georgina Young, Patricia, Dartmouth; sons, Peter, Dartmouth; David, Pictou Landing; Byron, Westville; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Morag, Scotland; Jenny, New Zealand; brothers, John, Neil, Scotland. She was predeceased by her husband, John; an infant daughter; son-in-law, Brennon MacKinnon; grandson, Darryl Hayden; sister, Margaret (Bell); brothers, Pat, Jim. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul's United Church, Westville. Burial in Auburn Cemetery, Westville. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Association, St. Paul's United Church or Glen Haven Manor.
